Technology has its advantages, but more people are conducting business behind digital devices. Face to face meetings are more telling with body language and facial expressions, but the written word can have hidden and uncertain meanings that lead to misunderstand. This course will focus on digital communication in the workplace.

Inspired by the steps we take to prevent being trapped in a fire, this course is designed to help students take action and guard against cyber bullying. Interactive learning will include how to identify a threat, discontinue communication, and informing a trusted adult and/or law enforcement agency. New threats are facing our youth each day. This exercise gives them the opportunity to have a plan of action.

Cyber bullying starts long before middle school, and before kids have an experience with any digital device, they need to know that they are valued. Students learn about confidence and how to love themselves.  They will design their vest (provided by Digital Deputy LLC) and put on their armor.

It's never too early to teach our children about technology terms and Internet safety. 
Students will have fun learning about online safety (without even going on the Internet)! They will build a live 'firewall' that protects them from Internet threats.

We all need a drivers license to operate a vehicle, right? Well this course is designed to prepare students for the world of the web.  They will even have a live Facebook session!  They will earn a Digital license, patch and certificate once completing this course.

HIGH SCHOOL - COLLEGE STUDENTS

Who are you? Are you who you say you are? In the course students work on identifying the person they are within, and they learn how to bring themselves to life in the digital world to 'be real' online. We don't have to pretend or take the identity of someone else to generate attention.  We all have a purpose and something to offer.
Duration: 30 minutes.
